What We Do and How It Helps You Heal
At Therapeutic Innovations, every session is designed to treat the root cause of your pain—not just manage the symptoms. I combine evidence-based manual therapy techniques with functional movement and neuromuscular strategies to restore balance, reduce tension, and support long-term healing.
Here’s a look at the core therapies and techniques I may incorporate into your treatment plan:
Neuromuscular Therapy
A precise, science-based approach to relieving pain and dysfunction by targeting the body’s soft tissues. This technique addresses muscular imbalances, nerve compression, and postural issues. Neuromuscular Therapy helps reduce chronic pain and improve overall function through specific, targeted work.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger points are tight, sensitive spots in muscle tissue that can cause pain locally or refer discomfort to other areas of the body. This therapy uses focused pressure to release those knots, restore blood flow, and relieve tension. It’s especially effective for headaches, neck and shoulder pain, and chronic muscle tightness.
Neuromuscular Cupping Therapy
This advanced technique blends traditional cupping with movement-based therapy. Cups are applied to lift and decompress the tissues while your body is moved through active or passive range of motion. This helps re-pattern neuromuscular dysfunction, release fascial restrictions, and improve circulation.
Note: Cupping can leave temporary circular marks on the skin—these are not bruises and typically fade within a few days. I’ll always explain what to expect and adjust for your comfort.
Active & Passive Range of Motion (ROM)
Movement is essential to healthy muscles and joints. During your session, I may guide your body through passive movements or have you perform active movements to assess and improve flexibility, joint function, and muscular coordination. This is especially helpful in restoring mobility after injury or chronic restriction.
Scraping (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization)
This technique uses specialized tools to gently glide over the skin and soft tissues, helping break down adhesions, release restrictions, and promote blood flow. It’s commonly used for scar tissue, chronic stiffness, and inflammation. Scraping is always done with care and tailored to your body’s response.
Tailored for You
Your session is never one-size-fits-all. I’ll customize your treatment using a combination of techniques based on your body’s needs, your goals, and your comfort level. Whether you’re working through chronic pain, recovering from injury, or simply maintaining wellness, we’ll build a plan that supports long-term relief and results.
